With a company history of over 65 years, Aerostar is a world leader in the design and manufacture of highly technical Aerospace & Defense solutions. In 2022, Aerostar was acquired from Raven Industries, severing its 65-year high-altitude ballooning legacy from the Raven name. It was time for Aerostar to build on its own brand and take its rightful place as the leader in stratospheric exploration.

Objective:

Capture the momentum and energy of Aerostar in a new visual identity.

Solution:

The Aerostar symbol nods at Aerostar's history, with the four-pointed star signifying the four people who dared to start their own company, and its vision, with the side of the "A" symbolizing ascent and ambition.

With partnerships ranging from international defense to scientific research, we established a versatile visual identity that could be optimistic, imaginative, and tenacious as it needed to adapt. The final brand can effortlessly slide to suit storytelling objectives. The adaptive systems, gradients, and graphic elements combine to be both clean and decisive, as well as fearless and inspiring.
